Fingering is detected via patented note detection technology (NODE), a soft humming sound produced by ClariMate. Because ClariMate must continuously monitor the NODE, it is not recommended for live performance or amplified use, as external sound may interfere with fingering detection. Calibrating the NODE to your clarinet is recommended for best performance. Use wired headphones to play silently with a built-in, sample-based clarinet synthesizer, or connect to a computer, tablet, or phone to use ClariMate as a MIDI controller.
